SB Halloween Event: Infected!

That's right folks- it is time for our first event!

It is October and as is to be expected once October begins, Halloween is finding its way closer and closer to our world. But what about Hacaria? What do Hacarians do in October?

Hacarians ring in the season of fall and the time of spirits just as we do. But something threatens to stand in their way... a horrifying, deadly plague!

OH NO! What can I do?!

First download the latest version. (The Itch desktop app is recommended.) Then in areas where you see animals - like the Vast Plains - there is a 50% chance for certain animals to spawn infected. They will have orange eyes, bared teeth (unless they have beaks) and glowing orange fluid oozing from their ears (if they have them), noses and mouths. Kill as many as you can, drive the infection out of Hacaria! You will be rewarded with limited time items that are only dropped by infected animals.

Can I become infected?

No, we do not have such a mechanic implemented, but we do have "infected" horns, necklace, effect, claws and eye lens items :) Get 'em before they're gone!

Note: Items are still not properly rigged but since we are getting a new player model this is not an issue we will fix.

Which animals can be infected?

Rabbits, mice, rats, cats (but not kittens), all birds, raccoons, red pandas, pandacoons, all NPC mustelids, all wolfhawks, and all bears.

Can I tame infected animals? Will they stay infected after the event?

Yes and yes! :)
